Role Description Mortgage Adviser role based in Montreal, QC.

The Mortgage

Adviser will meet with clients to understand their financial situations, homeownership goals, and borrowing needs, and will provide tailored mortgage advice and product recommendations. Daily responsibilities include assessing client eligibility, preparing and submitting mortgage applications, liaising with lenders, and tracking the progress of approvals. The role also involves explaining mortgage terms and conditions, ensuring regulatory and compliance standards are met, and maintaining accurate documentation.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess skills in Mortgages and Finance, with the ability to analyze client financial profiles and recommend appropriate mortgage solutions.
- Candidates should possess skills in Financial Planning to help clients understand long-term affordability, budgeting, and future financial implications of their mortgage decisions.
- Candidates should possess skills in Mortgage Marketing to support client acquisition, relationship building, and promotion of the agency’s services.
- Candidates should be CeMap Qualified or hold an equivalent recognized mortgage advisory certification, demonstrating knowledge of lending regulations and compliance requirements.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly and build trust with diverse clients.
- Proven organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple client files and deadlines efficiently.
- Previous experience in mortgage advising, banking, or real estate is highly beneficial.
- Ability to work collaboratively in an office workplace and proficiency with common office software and mortgage-related systems.
