Role Description The Occupational Testing Collector is a full-time, on-site role based in Edmonton, AB, responsible for performing specimen collection and related occupational testing activities in accordance with established protocols and regulatory standards. Day-to-day tasks include greeting and verifying donors, explaining testing procedures, collecting and handling specimens (such as urine, oral fluid, or breath), completing documentation and chain-of-custody forms, and preparing samples for secure transport or processing. The role involves maintaining a clean and organized collection environment, operating testing equipment as required,



and following strict confidentiality and privacy guidelines.

The Occupational Testing

Collector collaborates with internal teams and external partners to ensure accurate, timely test results and may assist with scheduling, reporting, and coordinating assessments to support clients’ workplace safety programs. This position requires adherence to professional conduct standards and consistent attention to detail in a fast-paced, safety-focused setting.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated ability to follow detailed procedures, maintain accurate records, and manage chain-of-custody documentation for specimens.
- Experience in specimen collection, health assessments, or a related clinical, laboratory, or occupational testing environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with donors, supervisors, and client representatives in a professional and respectful manner.
- Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion and to uphold privacy, human rights, and ethical standards.
- Solid organizational and time-management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a busy in office setting.
- Comfort with basic computer applications and secure online portals for data entry, reporting, and scheduling.
- High level of attention to detail and commitment to quality, accuracy, and compliance with regulatory and company guidelines.
- Relevant education or training in healthcare, medical office administration, occupational health, or a related field is an asset.
