Reporting to the Head of Human Resources Canada, this role will provide a variety of opportunities as it supports the Human Resources team in payroll, benefits and HR administration.

Day to day

- Process full-cycle, multi-provincial Canadian semi-monthly payroll for approximately 400 employees using ADP Workforce Now.
- Review, validate and send semi-monthly payroll funding wires and payroll comparison reports for approval to Head of HR, Canada.
- Audit payroll registers to ensure accuracy, compliance, and completeness of employee pay data.
- Process employee terminations, including final pay calculations and vacation payout entitlements.
- Analyze, calculate, and prepare payroll input data for payroll processing.
- Administer and maintain Short-Term Disability (STD) payments in accordance with company policies, procedures and ER input.
- Conduct regular payroll data integrity reviews and audits to ensure accurate employee records.
- Prepare and distribute Records of Employment (ROEs), pay statements, and other payroll-related documentation.
- Coordinate payroll mid-month, month-end, quarter-end, and year-end activities, including general ledger reconciliations and account balancing in partnership with Finance.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting requirements, including payroll access and third party audit reviews.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, earnings, deductions, and related concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Reconcile and remit third-party payments, including pension contributions, RRSP deductions, garnishments, and other statutory deductions.
- Administer payroll remittances to government agencies, including EHT, WSIB/WCB, CNESST, and other regulatory bodies, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements.
- Verify, reconcile, and produce annual T4 slips and related year-end tax reporting.
- Prepare and issue T2200 forms and process amendments as required.
- Generate payroll-related reports and submissions for Statistics Canada.
- Prepare annual remuneration and compensation reporting for external stakeholders.
- Create and maintain ADP Workforce Now user accounts and login credentials for new hires.
- Participate in payroll-related projects, process improvements, and other duties as assigned.

Essentials:

- College/post secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- 2+ years of end-to end payroll administration or payroll specialist experience with multi-provincial payroll experience
- Benefits Administration and PCP (Payroll Compliance Practitioner) designation are an asset
- Experience with payroll systems (Ceridian Dayforce, ADP, UKG, Workday, SAP, Oracle HCM, etc.)
- Advances proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

- This is a hybrid position with 2 days a week in the office

Desired Primary Work Location: Burlington, ON

Applicable pay range

$65,000.00 - $72,000.00

Additional factors that may be used to determine your actual pay include your specific skills, years of relevant experience you possess, and other work-related qualifications. Many candidates may start in the bottom half of the applicable pay range, especially those with less experience or qualification.





This position is subject to the terms of DLL’s compensation plans and policies. Further, the position includes all other benefits provided to DLL employees, including healthcare benefits, vacation, sick leave, parental leave, possible discretionary bonuses, and all other benefits that are subject to eligibility.
