Job Summary The Faculty of Open Learning and Career Development ( OLCD ) develops and delivers innovative and diverse lifelong learning experiences for more than 5000 students annually to help them navigate the changing world of learning and work. Reporting to the Manager, Faculty Technology, the Learning Platforms Analyst supports and enhances the Faculty’s learning and credentialing platforms, including Modern Campus Lifelong Learning Extended Education ( LLL EE), MyCreds, and D2L Brightspace. The role provides operational and user support, monitors, integrations, coordinates onboarding for participating units, and supports credentialing initiatives across certificates, transcripts and microcredentials . This role requires someone who can support users and platforms day-to-day while also analyzing workflows, monitoring integrations, troubleshooting data issues, coordinating testing, supporting credentialing expansion, and onboarding recent units into a standardized learning and credentialing ecosystem. Key Responsibilities
Provide operational support for learning platforms, including user account management, access provisioning, application configuration, and Learning Management System ( LMS ) administration. Monitor and maintain system integrations between Modern Campus LLL EE, Banner, MyCreds, and related systems, resolving data quality, identity, and provisioning issues. Serve as the primary operational and functional resource for expansion of the LLL EE/MyCreds integration to encompass transcripts and certificates, supporting credential configuration, data mapping, testing, exception handling, go-live readiness, and operational handover. Manage onboarding and implementation projects for new continuing education units, including requirements gathering,
workflow design, testing, training, and post-launch support. Coordinate stakeholders and vendor relationships, serving as the primary liaison among Faculty of Open Learning and Career Development at Dal ( FOLCD ), the Registrar’s Office, ITS , Modern Campus, MyCreds, and participating academic units to coordinate requirements, issue resolution, vendor escalation, and implementation activities. Drive continuous improvement and user enablement by developing procedures, documentation, training materials, operational standards, and recommendations for process platform, credentialing, automation, and integration improvements. Note: The successful applicant will be eligible for hybrid work (combination of in-person work on campus and remote work from within Nova Scotia) as agreed by all parties based on operational requirements and university guidelines. Required Qualifications
Undergraduate degree in a relevant field such as information management, business administration, computer science, education/learning technology, information systems, or a related discipline, plus approximately one to five years’ experience supporting enterprise platforms, users, integrations, configuration, testing, documentation, or implementation activities (or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience). Demonstrated experience in systems analysis, troubleshooting, platform configuration, documentation, and user training/support. Experience supporting enterprise applications, including system integrations, data management processes, identity resolution, access provisioning, or related operational workflows. Experience planning and executing testing activities, including system, integration, and user acceptance testing. Ability to deliver user training and support platform adoption across diverse stakeholder groups. Experience coordinating projects, implementation plans, timelines, and stakeholder communications Assets
Experience with testing, validation, change management, release cycles, and vendor support. Experience with platforms such as Modern Campus LLL EE (Destiny One), D2L Brightspace, Ellucian Banner, and/or ARUCC MyCreds. Experience with credential issuance, digital credentials, microcredentials,
certificates, transcripts, or learner records. Familiarity with privacy, accessibility, records management, or data governance considerations in a post-secondary environment. The successful candidate is expected to demonstrate proficiency in Dalhousie’s
