You hold a Diploma of Vocational Studies (DVS) in Welding and Assembly, or have equivalent experience. You have five (5) to seven (7) years of relevant experience in quality inspection within the structural steel industry, including experience in coordinating teams or providing functional supervision. You are proficient in blueprint reading, welding symbols, inspection methods, and traceability requirements. You have a good knowledge of ISO standards, Hydro-Québec requirements, CSA W47.1, and CSA W59 standards (an asset). You are comfortable using computer applications, including Excel, Microsoft 365, and SteelProject (an asset).



Roles and responsabilities

Act as team lead for Quality Inspectors by setting priorities, assigning inspections, and ensuring daily follow-ups. Ensure the consistent and rigorous application of policies, procedures, manufacturing methods, standards, and quality requirements. Ensure that visual and dimensional inspections are carried out in accordance with drawings, specifications, and acceptance criteria. Train, coach, and support Quality Inspectors in the application of standards, blueprint reading, documentation, and decision-making. Identify, document, and analyze non-conformances, and ensure proper follow-up through to full resolution. Coordinate with production teams to implement corrective and preventive actions, and verify their effectiveness. Assist in the preparation and follow-up of internal, external, and customer audits.
