This role is eligible for a discretionary variable compensation award that considers business and individual performance.Job OverviewTD Private Wealth Management is a premier full‑service brokerage and wealth management business focused on becoming the leading, most respected Wealth Management Advisory business in Canada. The Branch Manager reports directly to the Greater Ontario Region Head of PWM, is a key leadership position on the TD Wealth senior executive team, and is integral to TD Bank’s strategy for TD PWM. Analyze sales and financial data, identify trends and implement tactics to increase revenue, reduce expenses, enhance profitability and drive growth.Strategic Insight – Know and understand the competitive landscape, identify emerging industry trends and recommend strategies to drive a competitive advantage.Business Development Capability – Lead in the community,
develop opportunities to grow the TD PWM franchise and increase its profile in the local market.Proactive Risk Management – Maintain a strong understanding of the Bank’s internal risk management and audit policies and procedures, and those defined by external entities including relevant banking authorities and industry regulators. Participate in crafting new policies and procedures for the business to meet evolving regulatory requirements.Drive the region’s operating performance, sales management culture, talent management strategy and tactics, business development, compliance oversight, and Investment Advisor recruitment.Contribute to the achievement of TD PWM’s overall business results by developing and executing an annual regional business and operating plan consistent with the TD Wealth strategy and objectives.Review and support Branch Managers in the development and execution of branch business plans.Recruit, develop, and lead high‑performance teams through personal development planning, setting rational performance objectives, and providing feedback and performance assessments in a timely manner.Coach and develop executive talent by building and training a succession plan for key roles in the region.Maintain an active pipeline of branch management candidates.Lead the evolution and delivery of legendary client experiences.Grow the TD PWM business with a major focus on increasing market share and enhancing the group’s brand and public profile.Actively promote the TD PWM brand profile within the region through participation and leadership in business and industry groups, and related activities including public speaking and media appearances.Oversee and direct the negotiation and appropriate resolution of significant client issues,
which may include liaising with internal and external ombudsmen, industry regulators, and participation in legal proceedings.Provide ongoing leadership, counsel, and oversight on compliance‑related matters to ensure conformity with evolving industry regulations, internal compliance, risk management, and audit policies and practices.Deliver satisfactory audit results.RequirementsUndergraduate university degree or related post‑secondary education at a minimum.Currently registered with the Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada (IIROC) as a Registered Representative and Supervisor & Options.Minimum of 10 years of Wealth leadership experience, including branch and sales management.A successful track record of recruiting, acquiring, growing and retaining top talent, promoting diversity, building partnerships, aligning enterprise capabilities and striving to raise the bar on continuous improvement.A proven strategist, change agent and advocate with the ability to balance business realities, regulatory expectations and best practices to lead others in pursuit of opportunities.A successful history of working in a large financial institution where success is achieved by collaborating with other business partners.A clear understanding of the importance of collaboration across the organization to leverage peer groups.Proven ability to provide a balanced approach and to stay resilient under pressure with the ability to operate in an evolving and sometimes ambiguous environment reflecting timely and decisive leadership.Demonstrated time management and organizational skills to meet tight deadlines as well as the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.Confident presentation and facilitation skills.BenefitsOur Total Rewards package includes a base salary, variable compensation, health and well‑being advantages, savings and retirement programs, paid time off, banking benefits and discounts, career development opportunities, and reward and recognition programs.Language Requirement (Quebec Only)Sans Objet#J-18808-Ljbffr
