Master Flo Valve Inc. is currently seeking a full time permanent Receiving Supervisor to work in Edmonton, AB.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee Receiving Operations, manage the receipt, inspection, and storage of incoming goods, ensuring accuracy against purchase orders and shipping documents, and verify quality standards, including training, assigning daily tasks, monitoring performance, and maintaining a productive work environment
- Provide leadership and instruction for the receiving department and ensure the Receiving department is following all applicable standards and guidelines
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and organization within the receiving department
- Liaise with suppliers, carriers, and internal departments to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery of materials
- Cross training of warehouse activities to support Inventory supervisor.
Duties Include:
- Supervise and oversee the work of Drivers and Material handlers.
- Receive component parts, returned products for repair, service or credit
- Ship, receive and close all purchase orders.
- Schedule deliveries and pick-ups for company driver.
- Maintain cleanliness/tidiness of receiving and outside assigned areas
- Visually inspect parts or product received for damage
- Verify quantity received to applicable paperwork
- Assign and supervise Material handlers and driver’s daily workload
- Report all variances in receiving of product or parts to vendor or carrier immediately
- Return non-conforming products to appropriate vendors
- Inspect returned product & quarantine, if necessary, for NORM (Naturally Occurring Radioactive Materials) per internal safety procedure
- Ensure vehicle maintenance is completed on schedule
- Ensure component parts received are packaged according to Master Flo standard
- Actively supports and complies with corporate programs, standards and policies,
including the Health, Safety and Environment program, the Quality program and Quality policy, and other corporate directives.
- Cycle counting
- Other duties as required
Qualifications:
- 2-5 years of shipping / receiving experience is required
- 2-5 years of supervisory experience is required
- Valid driver’s license is required
- Forklift experience is required
- Ability to lift and carry heavy materials up to 50 lbs. is required.
- SAP experience is preferred, or working experience with another large ERP program
- Grade 12 diploma is preferred
- Crane experince is an asset
- TDG ticket is an asset
- WHMIS ticket is an asset
- Effective written, verbal, and reading skills (English)
Work Conditions:
- Day shift: Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day. Option for overtime.
- Work is primarily performed indoors.
