We believe in offering an engaging, inclusive and supportive work environment where each team member can thrive.Your contribution!Reporting to the Director Civil and Structural Engineering, the Civil Engineer supports the Development and Construction teams on civil engineering matters related to renewable energy projects, with a focus on wind technology.Support wind projects during the RFP phaseSupport tender processes, including development, analysis and recommendations (preliminary design, geotechnical desktop studies, hydrology, road and pad design, etc.)Prepare civil specifications and owner’s requirements to advance project designCoordinate and/or execute preliminary civil design, including layouts, foundations, roads, turbine pads, laydown areas and substationsPerform trade-off analyses in collaboration with Resource, GIS and Construction teamsReview consultants’ deliverables to ensure quality, scope, budget and schedule complianceDuring pre-construction and construction phase:Review specifications and documentation for EPC contracts and engineering consultantsReview civil designs and studiesEnsure coordination with other disciplines (environment, health & safety,



etc.)Review and approve drawings to ensure compliance with engineering standards and safety codesProvide site engineering support including inspection and monitoring of civil worksRespond to RFIs and review/approve submittalsCoordinate engineering activities and manage consultants’ scope, budgets and schedulesCross-functional collaboration:Interface with project management, construction, finance and other technical teams throughout project lifecycleMinimum of 5 years of experience in Civil EngineeringExperience in wind project development and construction (including road and turbine pad design) preferredAlternative experience in forestry or mining sectors with road design exposure may be consideredBachelor’s Degree in Civil EngineeringStrong knowledge of civil engineering design and standards within the renewable energy industryAdvanced expertise in wind project development and construction phasesStrong organizational skills and ability to manage shifting prioritiesProfessional, proactive and team-oriented mindsetAbility to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholdersStrong willingness to learn and grow across multiple projectsBilingualism (French and English, written and spoken) is an asset (if based in B.C.) or required (if based in Qc) to ensure collaboration with different stakeholders inside and outside of Québec on a regular basis.Additional considerations!The position can be based in the company's Vancouver (BC) office or at the Longueuil (Quebec)
