About The Role
As a CBRE FM Engineering Ops Sr. Manager, you will manage the team responsible for providing technical and operational support to the account staff. This will primarily encompass working with property managers and vendors.
This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.
What You’ll Do
- Provide formal supervision to employees. Monitor the training and development of staff. Conduct performance evaluations and coaching. Oversee the recruiting and hiring of new employees. (Not sure if this will be in scope. If not, I would suggest the following replacement:
- Provide formal supervision and coordination with property management staff and vendors. Monitor the performance and turnaround of outsourced support. Oversee the recruiting and hiring of replacement of vendors to simplify processes and reduce costs.
- Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities.
Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff and vendors. Set and track staff and department deadlines, including extended team members who have project responsibilities. Mentor and coach as needed.
- Collaborate with other departments and key stakeholders to ensure that business needs are being met.
- Review data and make recommendations for improvements to processes, procedures, and systems.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices and apply knowledge to drive innovation and growth.
- Manage budgets and resources effectively, ensuring that all expenditures are justified and aligned with company goals.
- Ensure the team follows compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and policies.
- Apply a broad knowledge of the business, own discipline, and how own discipline integrates with others to achieve team and departmental objectives.
- Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Influence others to adopt a different point of view while being guided by policies and departmental plans.
- Identify and solve technical and operational problems of complexity.
- Understand and recognize the broader impact across the department.
- Improve and change existing methods, processes, and standards within the job discipline. Ensure that communication of project timelines and resolution of requests is frequently communicated
What You’ll Need
- Bachelor's Degree preferred with 5 - 8 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
- Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention is preferred.
- Experience working with property managers, vendors as well as client and CBRE team members to ensure solid coordination and timely completion of all activities.
- Ability to lead the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations and handle problems.
- Leadership skills to motivate the team to achieve broad operational targets with impacts on own job discipline, multiple job disciplines, and department.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Extensive organizational skills and an advanced inquisitive mindset.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The salary range being offered for this Regional Operations Sr Manager position is between $121,000 annually and $135,000 annually. The compensation that is provided to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
