Sales Advisor — Community Outreach, Caribbean & African Communities North York, Toronto, ON — On-site Full time, permanent $40,000 – $50,000 base plus commission

ABOUT EDUGLOBAL

EduGlobal is a Canadian education and funding consultancy in the Greater Toronto Area. We help people already living in Canada — citizens, permanent residents and protected persons — get into education they thought they could not afford.

We find them the right program, guide them through provincial student aid so the funding is in place, and walk them through admission at one of our partner career colleges. We also work with short courses, certificate programs and language training. Most of our clients are mature students: career changers, parents returning to work, people retraining into healthcare, business and skilled trades.

WHY THIS ROLE EXISTS

Caribbean and African communities across the GTA make up one of the largest groups of people eligible for the funding we help people access — and one of the least reached. The barrier is not language. It is that nobody has built the relationships, shown up in the right places, or earned the trust.

That is what this role is. We are hiring someone with real standing in these communities to open them up properly.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR — READ THIS FIRST

This role is built around networks. We are hiring on the strength of the relationships you have already built and your ability to build more.

- Established referral networks within Caribbean or African communities in the GTA — community organisations, places of worship, employers, associations, business owners, group chats, local media
- A track record of generating business through community relationships rather than cold lists
- Comfort representing a company at community events and in community spaces
- The credibility to have a serious money conversation with someone who has been let down before

Tell us about the networks you have and what you have generated through them. That is the part we will focus on. LANGUAGES — an asset, not a requirement

If you speak any of the following alongside English, say so — several of our client communities need them and we will weight it heavily:

French · Haitian Creole · Swahili · Amharic · Tigrinya · Twi · Yoruba · Portuguese

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Sell

- Work qualified leads from our marketing, and build your own pipeline through your networks and referrals
- Run consultations by phone, video and in person — qualify, understand the situation, recommend the right program
- Explain funding clearly and honestly so clients know exactly what they are signing up for
- Close. Convert conversations into enrolled students
- Hit monthly targets and grow your numbers

Own your files through to completion
- File student aid applications with clients during live screen-share sessions
- Collect and chase the documents each file needs
- Coordinate with our admissions team and partner colleges to confirm enrolment
- Track your files through approval and disbursement
- Keep your records accurate and report daily on your numbers

There is no separate officer picking up your files behind you. Your work on a file is finished when the client is enrolled and their funding is approved.

Build reach

- Become the name people in these communities associate with education and funding
- Grow referral relationships month over month
- Represent us at community events
- Tell us what is working in your market. You will know it better than we do

ALSO REQUIRED

- A real sales background — you have carried a target and hit it
- Street smart. This is not a scripted call-centre job
- Hungry to earn. The strongest advisors take home significantly more than base
- Organised enough to run your own files without being chased
- In office, in person, every day

VALUED BACKGROUNDS Our applications are government funding applications and every detail is checked. We pay particular attention to candidates from fields where accuracy matters: insurance, financial services, mortgage or lending, legal or paralegal support, real estate, recruitment, settlement services.

WHAT WE WILL NOT COMPROMISE ON

Every application we submit must be accurate. We never enter false information, we never accept altered documents, and we never coach a client to misstate anything. We sell hard and we stay clean.

TRAINING

You do not need to arrive knowing student aid. We train you on the programs, the funding process, the filing system and our sales approach. What we cannot train is your network and your sales instinct — bring those.

COMPENSATION

- Base $40,000 – $50,000 depending on experience, paid semi-monthly
- Commission on every successful file, paid against targets
- Ten paid vacation days, four paid sick days, all Ontario statutory holidays
- Full commission structure provided at offer stage

LOCATION Day-to-day work location is our new North York office. Head office is 1 Dundas Street West, Suite 2550 (25th Floor), Toronto, ON M5G 1Z3. In office daily — not remote, not hybrid.

TO APPLY

Send your resume to [email protected] and tell us:
1. The communities you have networks in, and what you have generated through them
2. One thing you have sold, and the number you hit

Prefer to talk? Call (phone hidden). This posting is for an existing vacancy. AI is not used to screen or select candidates.
