Valid First Aid Certificate and Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (Level C) required. Required to be in good physical condition and provide proof of successful completion of Physical Abilities Requirement Evaluation (P.A.R.E.). Must possess a valid operator's license and provide a transparent criminal records check for which a pardon has not been granted, and have no charges pending before the courts.Additional Required Qualifications:Must have a current Community Peace Officer Status. Must have a valid PARE (Physical Abilities Requirement Evaluation) upon application. Must be eligible for appointment as a Community Peace Officer by the Public Safety and Emergency Services Department. Good computer skills, in a Microsoft Windows/Office environment. Superior demonstration of communications and interpersonal skills. Possess good investigative report writing skills. Familiarity with Canadian law. Effective handling of stress, conflict/negotiation skills. Ability to function in a team and individual environment. Ability to function independently, knowing when to refer issues upwards.
