The OpportunityThe Financial Analyst, MI Reporting is responsible for delivering key management information, including the P&L, CFO reporting pack, and Balance Sheet review. The role involves compiling data from multiple sources to produce accurate and timely P&L and CFO reporting packs.In addition, the analyst is accountable for preparing the Balance Sheet review, ensuring thorough analysis and investigation of variances to support effective financial oversight. The position also contributes to month‑end close activities such as booking accruals and posting adjusting entries in the general ledger.What You’ll DoCompile data from multiple sources to prepare and deliver monthly P&L and CFO reporting packsMaintain reporting distribution lists and ensure timely circulation of outputsReview, edit, and obtain sign‑off for reporting packsProduce Broker Results reporting using PBCS (SmartView‑based reporting tool)Prepare Balance Sheet review files, analyse variances, and investigate significant movementsSupport Balance Sheet review meetings, including preparing minutes and tracking action itemsExecute control checks including DAC G&A and pairing nominal controlsPrepare CPC reports for partnershipsProvide support for audit requests, FRCF, and corporate accounting activitiesContribute to UAT testing for system enhancements and new business initiativesWhat You’ll BringBachelor’s degree in accounting or business administrationCPA designated or actively pursuing designation2‑3 years of relevant accounting or financial reporting experienceExperience in accounting, MI reporting,
and Balance Sheet reconciliationsExperience with Oracle Fusion or another ERP general ledger systemKnowledge of the P&C insurance industry (an asset)Familiarity with SmartView or similar reporting toolsProficiency in MS ExcelStrong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting processesHigh attention to detail with strong analytical and problem‑solving skillsAbility to manage multiple deadlines in a rapid‑paced environmentStrong communication and stakeholder management skillsWhat You'll GetThe salary band for this position ranges from $65,000.00 to $75,000.00.
