POSITION TITLE: Employment Counsellor/FacilitatorPROGRAM: WarehouseAbilities & Additional Employment Services support as neededREPORTS TO: Program ManagerLOCATION: Richmond – Travel to BiM office locations, off-site certification facilities, and employer sites requiredSTATUS: 30 hours/weekHOURS OF WORK: Monday to Friday 30 hours per week (on occasion may be required to work weekends and evenings)HOURLY RANGE: $27-30/hourSTART DATE: ASAPProgram Overview9-week WarehouseAbilities training program delivered by Back in Motion Rehab Inc. and Universal Learning InstituteIncludes soft skills, essential skills, warehouse operations training, certifications, and hands‑on experienceProvides accessibility, employment readiness, and ongoing job search/retention supportDesigned for individuals with multiple employment barriers (including persons with disabilities)Role Summary – Employment Counsellor/FacilitatorSupports participants from intake to program completionConducts screening, assessments, and develops individualized training plansFacilitates cohort‑based workshops (employment readiness, life skills, job search)Provides ongoing 1:1 guidance to keep participants on track toward employmentCoordinates with staff, ULI,
and employers to secure work experience and job opportunitiesKey ResponsibilitiesDeliver workshops (in‑person and virtual) on employability, soft/essential skills, and job readinessIdentify participant needs (financial, accessibility, etc.) and connect to resourcesMonitor progress, maintain documentation, and update databasesCollaborate with team members and community partnersAddress employment barriers using labour market knowledge and client‑focused supportContribute to program improvement and achieve performance targetsQualifications & Experience2+ years in case management, employment counselling, or working with multi‑barrier clientsExperience facilitating group training and job readiness workshopsKnowledge of labour market trends, community resources, and employment barriersPost‑secondary education in a related field or equivalent experienceKey SkillsStrong facilitation, communication, and organizational skillsAbility to motivate and support diverse client groupsExperience with assessments, career planning, and referralsTeam‑oriented, adaptable, and able to work independentlyAdditional languages and experience with employment programs are assets#J-18808-Ljbffr
