Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm to create a positive first impression.
- Take accurate orders from guests, ensuring special requests and dietary needs are noted and communicated clearly.
- Serve food and beverages efficiently, maintaining presentation standards and timely delivery.
- Use POS systems, such as Micros POS, to process orders and payments accurately while handling cash or card transactions responsibly.
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in dining areas, including table setup, clearing dishes, and food handling safety.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow and address any guest concerns promptly.
Skills
- Previous food service or restaurant experience is highly preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm to learn is key!
- Familiarity with POS systems like Micros POS for order entry and cashiering tasks.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours.
- Excellent customer service abilities with a friendly, approachable demeanor.
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, billing, and making change accurately.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a rapid-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
