Join the PSC GMA AI Innovation team to contribute to the experimentation, analysis, and development of concrete solutions based on generative artificial intelligence, LLMs, and agentic AI approaches. This internship is a unique opportunity to grow in an environment that combines applied research, software development, solution engineering, and innovation.
You will contribute to the evolution of AI solutions from experimentation through the implementation of functional prototypes, with a focus on technical quality, business value, and reusability. You will work on different types of solutions, including AI assistants, document search and RAG solutions, intelligent automation, and agentic AI systems.

Start Date: January 2027 Application Deadline: September 28th, 2026 CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $18-32/hour. This role is an existing vacancy.
Your future duties and responsibilities
AI Solution Development and Integration
- Develop AI components and prototypes using programming languages and tools suited to project needs.
- Participate in the integration of AI solutions with applications, APIs, data sources, and AI services.
- Contribute to the development of LLM-based solutions, including assistants, document search solutions, RAG pipelines, and intelligent automation.
- Participate in adapting and experimenting with agentic AI solutions using existing platforms and components.
AI Analysis and Experimentation
- Analyze different use cases and evaluate the technology approaches best suited to the needs.
- Experiment with different approaches related to LLMs, RAG, AI agents, and automation.
- Participate in evaluating solutions based on different criteria: quality, relevance, performance, cost, security, and maintainability.
- Contribute to identifying the limitations, risks,
and opportunities for improvement of the solutions being tested.
Industrialization and Best Practices
- Contribute to transforming prototypes into structured and reusable solutions.
- Participate in establishing best practices for development, testing, documentation, and version control.
- Document the work completed, technical decisions, results, and lessons learned.
- Contribute to creating reusable components, templates, or approaches to accelerate future AI projects.
Collaboration
- Work with AI, IT, data, architecture, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and implementation constraints.
- Participate in technical reviews, demonstrations, and knowledge sharing.
- Clearly communicate experimentation results and explain AI concepts in an accessible way to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role
- Student nearing completion of a bachelor’s degree or currently pursuing a master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, artificial intelligence, data science, or a related field.
- Strong interest in generative artificial intelligence, LLMs, software development, and intelligent automation.
- Basic or intermediate knowledge of at least one relevant programming language, including Python, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, or equivalent.
- Basic knowledge of concepts related to APIs, application integrations, databases, or data processing.
- Interest in emerging approaches related to RAG, agentic AI, agent orchestration, and process automation.
- Ability to analyze a problem, explore different approaches, and make recommendations.
- Ability to quickly learn new tools, technologies, and environments.
- Ability to structure, document, and clearly communicate work.
- Initiative, autonomy, rigor, and curiosity for innovation.
Additional Assets
- Familiarity with generative AI and agentic AI tools or frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, Semantic Kernel, CrewAI, MCP, or equivalent).
- Experience with REST APIs, JSON, Git, or cooperative development environments.
- Knowledge of Docker, CI/CD pipelines, or DevOps practices.
- Experience with databases, vector databases, or document search tools.
- Knowledge of or experience with cloud-based AI services or AI platforms.
- Participation in academic, personal, or extracurricular projects related to AI, software development, automation, or intelligent assistants.
