The intern will join the Cybersecurity Consulting team and contribute to improving and automating cybersecurity assessment activities.

The objective of the internship will be to identify steps within our assessment methodologies that are currently manual or repetitive and explore how automation and artificial intelligence can improve the efficiency, quality, and consistency of our analyses.

Start Date: January 2027 Application Deadline: September 28th, 2026 CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $18-32/hour. This role is an existing vacancy.

Your future duties and responsibilities

- Analyze existing cybersecurity assessment methodologies;
- Identify steps that could be automated or supported by AI;
- Automate the collection and structuring of information from questionnaires, interviews, and documents;
- Develop mechanisms to accelerate control assessments and the identification of gaps;
- Explore the use of AI to support the analysis of findings and the development of recommendations;
- Automate the production of reports, dashboards, maturity scores, and roadmaps;




- Develop prototypes that can be reused across various cybersecurity assessments;
- Document the solutions developed and recommend opportunities for broader implementation.

The internship will provide the opportunity to work on real-world assessment activities, such as cybersecurity maturity, risk, compliance, and security posture assessments, using various industry frameworks and best practices. Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role

CGI is looking for a cybersecurity intern who:

- Is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Cybersecurity or a related field;
- Has a basic understanding of cybersecurity, risk management, compliance, and security posture assessment concepts;
- Has a strong interest in automation, artificial intelligence, and process improvement;
- Is eager to apply their knowledge to help automate cybersecurity assessment activities;
- Has strong analytical skills and the ability to synthesize and structure information;
- Has strong problem-solving skills and an interest in developing practical solutions;
- Is motivated to take on challenges and demonstrate creativity, autonomy, and innovation.

Bilingualism (French and English) is required for this position due to the nature of the role, which involves interactions with both national and international clients. Together, as owners, let’s turn meaningful insights into action.
