Relocation assistance will be offered; however, there isno camp or company housing.Key ResponsibilitiesBe a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and proceduresLead and support multi-disciplinary engineering studies and improvement initiatives, embedding value engineering and ensuring alignment with operational and business objectivesManage a portfolio of major maintenance, demolition and capital projects, including scope development, budgeting, scheduling, and executing, as per the applicable internal project frameworkConduct equipment condition assessments, failure investigations, and asset life evaluations to identify risks and improvement opportunitiesIdentify and implement opportunities for innovation, reliability improvement, and cost optimization across plant operationsOversee project execution to meet safety, environmental, quality, cost, and schedule expectations, applying full lifecycle project management principlesCollaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Maintenance, Metallurgy, Projects and Shutdowns, Finance,
and Business Planning teamsProvide regular updates to stakeholders and leadership on project and asset performance, risks, and progressPerform other duties as assigned to support operational and project prioritiesQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Engineering is requiredApplicants need to be eligible for registration or registered with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of B.C. (“EGBC”) as this will be a condition of employment. Teck will support eligible employees with their EGBC registrationMinimum of 5 years of experience in engineering, construction or project management in an industrial or operational settingExperience with capital project development, including scoping, estimating, scheduling, and risk managementExcellent written and oral communication skills, including solid facilitation skills.
