About Us
Cameco is one of the largest global providers of the uranium fuel needed to power a secure energy future. Utilities around the world rely on our nuclear fuel products to generate safe, reliable, emissions-free nuclear power. Cameco’s corporate office is based in Saskatoon.
We have mining operations and projects in northern Saskatchewan, Kazakhstan, the United States and Australia. We are also a leading supplier of uranium refining, conversion, and fuel manufacturing services from our operations in Ontario.
The Role
Reporting to the manager, supplier relationship, this role provides an chance for a student to gain experience working with Cameco’s northern Saskatchewan contractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
You will help foster collaborative relationships with contractors by assisting with the implementation and establishment of workforce and business development strategies. This includes assisting with initiatives, projects, tracking performance metrics and actions aimed to improve capabilities while understanding how northern contractor partnerships and collaboration agreements contribute to Cameco's business success.
In This Role, You Will
- support and build positive working relationships with contractors and internal stakeholders by participating in projects and initiatives, as required.
- provide support with tracking performance metrics and development activities.
- collaborate with the Supply Chain Management (SCM) department and operational teams on projects and initiatives.
- coordinate meetings and prepare presentations, reports, and other materials for discussion.
- help identify opportunities to improve processes, communication, and efficiencies.
- safeguard confidential contractor and supplier information.
- learn and understand Cameco's northern contractor and supplier partnerships and how they support business operations.
Required
- Entering your third or fourth year at the Edwards School of Business, majoring in human resources, management, or supply chain management;
- You must be returning to school for the academic semester following your work term with Cameco;
- Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills; and
- Excellent relationship-building abilities.
Recommended
- ability to manage multiple priorities and coordinate activities across cross-functional teams; and
- proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications.

You will have the opportunity to work hybrid in this position. However, there may be the need for intermittent meetings in the Saskatoon office. The details of this flex work arrangement will be discussed with you in the recruitment process.

Salary Range: $60,898 - $74,952
