Reporting to the Manager, Safety and Security, the Supervisor, Safety and Security is responsible for providing a supervisory presence within the Safety and Security department. This position will manage and maintain emergency response throughout TD Place Stadium and Lansdowne Public Realm. As part of a team, this role works a rotational schedule to provide 24/7, 365-day coverage including days, evenings, overnights, and holidays.
This full-time, permanent role has an annual salary range of $50,800 to $60,900, with 100% employer-paid benefits. The final compensation will be determined based on the successful candidate's experience and qualifications. This is a replacement position and offers an on-site work arrangement.
What you’ll do:
- Oversee service delivery of security contract.
- Supervise security & public safety programs during TD Place events.
- Respond to security incidents throughout the Stadium as primary investigator to any major incidents including initial investigation, reporting, communicating details of incident and liaising with key stakeholders and emergency services (as required).
- Assign security team audits, supervise completion and verify results. Communicate and log details of audits to track trends and patterns.
- Oversee completion of daily tasks including but not limited to: unlocking & locking building, patrol routes, issuance of visitor and contractor passes, requests for security assistance, and building lighting.
- Administer and oversee third-party security training including emergency response and tabletop exercises.
- Direct security and building staff response in the event of an emergency (Act in primary security role until relieved by senior team member).
- Responsible for managing specifically assigned projects, including first-aid, fire equipment, access control hardware,
security and video systems.
- Ensure all security personnel have access to and use required safety equipment.
- Oversee completion of incident reports and daily reporting structures, share information with the appropriate stakeholders.
- Track and maintain logs outlining shift occurrences. Oversee logs completed by staff members throughout shifts.
- Monitor event orders and facility rentals to provide effective service to guests and clients.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
What’s needed:
- Completion of a post-secondary degree or diploma in relevant field.
- 0-2 years experience working in a security leadership role directly supervising staff.
- Experience in an arena, stadium, or special events, an asset.
- Holds an active and valid Ontario Security Guard license.
- Effective communication skills, written and verbal.
- Previous experience liaising with emergency services, an asset.
- Strong computer literacy, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office, and experience in operating security systems.
- Able to work under pressure while providing outstanding customer care.
- Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time, able to walk long distances and climb multiple stairs.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, overnights, and holidays.
- Bilingualism in English and French is an asset.
