Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential.Salary RangeThe Salary Range for this position is $62,200 – $93,400 and is dependent on education, experience, location and certifications/licensure.Essential Job FunctionsAssist in monitoring the quality of work in progress on site to ensure compliance with tender documents as well as applicable standards and codesComplete various on‑site tasks including measuring, drawing, exploratory cuts, identifying defects, photography, cleaning, etcPrepare roof and/or building envelope condition assessment reportsPerform site assessments, inspections and tests as required to produce condition analysis reportsPrepare observation reports from daily review in a detailed and timely mannerCompile data and photos in a report; edit,



assemble and photocopy reports as necessaryOrganize site meetings with clients and contractorsAttend preliminary site meetings for calls for tenders and tending closing evaluation meetingsBe familiar with national and local client base as well as proposal formsCoordinate all data entry for invoicing of time and cost of workProvide assistance to other technicians and technologists in the fieldAssist in the preparation of preliminary design as neededAssist with contract administration and client management as neededOther assigned duties and tasks, as requiredRequired Experience, Education and CertificationsCompletion of a post‑secondary degree or diploma in an applicable or related fieldMinimum of 2+ years of experience in the field of roofing and quality observationPreference to candidates with Registered Roof Observer (RRO) designation (not required)In‑depth knowledge of different roofing and construction systemsValid driver's license and reliable transportation are requiredRequired Skills and AbilitiesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAdvanced presentation skillsPossess an entrepreneurial spirit and strong motivationDemonstrate business integrity,

The employee is frequently required to stand, walk on sloped and flat roofs, sit, climb ladders, bend, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, hear, and drive a motor vehicle to client sites or job sites. Working at heights, including accessing buildings by ladders, swing stages, and mechanical lifts, will be necessary. The employee may lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Clear vision and depth perception are also necessary. The employee must be sharp, focused, and alert when conducting inspections, speaking, and interacting with clients, preparing drawings and written reports.OvertimeThere will be some occasions where overtime (or working after normal business hours) will be required to meet the demands of the position.TravelThis position requires up to 80% local area travel.
