The Leduc & District Food Bank is seeking an energetic, reliable, and adaptable Warehouse Laborer to join our team. This position works in a busy warehouse environment and requires someone who can work both collaboratively and independently, in an ever-changing setting to meet the needs of our clients and team members.

Key Responsibilities - Build client hampers

- Load and unload stock, including food, dry goods, and other donated items
- Sort, inspect, shelve, rotate, and organize inventory according to FIFO practices
- Maintain, organize, and manage stock in the warehouse, freezer, and cooler as required
- Conduct basic inventory counts and report discrepancies
- Operate Food Bank vehicles for pickups and deliveries
- Perform basic forklift and pallet jack operations
- Assist in other areas of the warehouse as required
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment, including snow removal from doors and drive areas
- Follow all warehouse safety procedures, food safety standards, and safe lifting practices
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director and other senior staff Required Skills, Knowledge, and Experience - Experience handling food products and donated goods in a regulated environment is an asset




- Physically fit with the ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs) and stand or walk for up to 8 hours per day
- Basic understanding of food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures
- Forklift certification and experience operating pallet jacks are assets
- Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing daily workloads
- Robust organizational, time-management, and attention-to-detail skills
- Ability to work efficiently both as part of a team and independently
- Working knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and best practices
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism when working with staff, volunteers, and clients
- First Aid certification is an asset
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record Additional Requirements - Ability to provide a Criminal Record Check and Driver’s Abstract
