- Manage day-to-day office and administrative tasks
- Use QuickBooks for bookkeeping, invoicing, expense tracking, and accounts receivable/payable
- Prepare and organize invoices, receipts, and other financial documentation
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate records
- File and organize company documents
- Answer incoming phone calls and emails in a professional manner
- Maintain office supplies and place orders as needed
- Assist with payroll and other accounting-related duties as required
- Help maintain accurate trucking, customer, and vendor records
- Communicate with customers, suppliers, drivers, and vendors
- Maintain and organize safety documentation and records
- Assist with COR safety program administration, including keeping safety paperwork and records up to date
- Help track safety training, orientations, inspections, toolbox meetings, and other safety requirements
- Assist with maintaining employee safety files and documentation
- Support management with general safety and administrative tasks
- Provide general administrative support to the management team
Qualifications & Experience
- Previous office administration or bookkeeping experience preferred
- Experience with QuickBooks is an asset
- Experience with safety administration or COR programs is an asset
- Experience in the trucking, construction, or aggregate industry would be an asset
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Comfortable handling multiple tasks and changing priorities
- Qualified and friendly communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive company and employee information
