- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specification for custom millwork
- Utilize woodshop equipment and tools to build custom cabinets and woodworks
- Operate woodworking machines and tools
- Repair and style cabinets, fixtures, and furniture
- Trim, assemble and join wood and other materials
- Sand wooden surfaces and apply veneer/polish to finished products
- Ensure the standards of design and quality are met
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- 3+ years' experience of custom cabinetmaking and woodworking machinery
- Experience with high-end cabinetry and finishes
- Completion of secondary school
- Ability to interpret blueprints and specifications, and estimate materials required for projects
- Strong problem solving and time management skills
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Physically able to handle heavy loads
- Valid driver's licence
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Work activities will require manual dexterity and standing for extended periods.
- Frequent travel to client sites
- Some work activities will occur after normal business hours i.e. morning, evenings and weekends.
