Adecco is currently hiring a full-time highly skilled and safety-conscious Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our client's maintenance team in Prince Rupert, BC. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of heavy equipment and machinery to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime. For this role you should be a 4th or 5th year mechanic with extensive experience in heavy vehicle mechanics, including loaders, forklifts, and excavators. This is a hands-on position ideal for someone with strong mechanical knowledge and a passion for working with complex systems.

Pay Rate: $95,000/yearly

Location: Prince Rupert, BC

Shift: 6:00am - 2:00pm

Job type: Permanent | Full-time

Responsibilities:

Inspect, diagnose, and repair heavy vehicles and machinery.

Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.

Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical issues in heavy equipment.

Conduct repairs aiming for maximum reliability and safety.

Test the functionality of parts and systems to ensure they operate properly.

Maintain accurate records of inspections, diagnostic tests, work orders, and repairs.





Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

Qualifications:

4th or 5th year mechanic certification.

Proven experience with heavy vehicle mechanics, including loaders, forklifts, and excavators.

Strong understanding of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electronics.

Ability to lift heavy machinery and work in various positions.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.

Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
