The successful candidate will support hardware design and prototyping activities, as well as documentation release.In this role, you'll gain exposure to the processes involved in developing products within an engineering environment,



which will greatly enhance your understanding of our hardware products and how they are applied in electrical designs.Key Accountabilities Assist with the design of Vehicle On‐board ControllersHelp with the design and prototyping of the test setups used for the Qualification of hardware productsBecome familiar and use the company processAssist our team with the release of the Engineering documentationCreate, review, and verify hardware requirementsKey Requirements Currently working towards an Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent degreePossess good written and oral communication skills, familiarity with project work environmentKnowledge of electrical components (Transistor, Resistor, Capacitor, Zener Diode, Rectifier Diode, Digital Logic, LED, etc.) and basic circuitsAbility to work independently and multi‐taskAbility to conceptually grasp the "big picture" and apply critical thinking to resolve issuesAttention to detail and curiosity to understand the criticality of activitiesThe ability to work 40 hours a week in a hybrid environment for the duration of the internship is essential. At least 2 days a week in the office.Preferred Qualifications Co‐op student available for a 4 or 8 month term, with at least one additional quarter or semester of coursework remaining after the completion of the internship.Previous co‐op work experience in the rail industry is an asset.
