We are seeking a motivated and reliable 5 Ton Truck Driver to join our dynamic logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating a 5-ton truck to transport freight and goods across various destinations. Your expertise in commercial driving, heavy equipment operation, and automotive repair will ensure timely deliveries and maintain the highest safety standards.

Duties
- Safely operate a 5-ton truck to pick up and deliver freight to designated locations, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, including checking brakes, lights, tires, and fluid levels
- Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as electric pallet jack when necessary, ensuring cargo is secure and undamaged
- Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, pickups, mileage logs, and delivery receipts
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients to confirm schedules, delivery instructions, and address any issues promptly
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting as needed to ensure vehicle reliability and safety during operations
- Operate heavy equipment like forklifts when required for loading or unloading freight
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid driver’s license suitable for operating a 5-ton truck
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures to ensure secure loading, securing, and transportation of goods
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate record keeping and documentation
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members, clients, and dispatchers
- Commitment to safety protocols and adherence to transportation regulations at all times
Requiement
- Valid Class 5 driver's license and legal authorization to work.
- Able to work on weekend and night shift.
- Experience driving a 5-ton truck is preferred.
