Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Accounting Analyst role based in Georgetown, ON.
The Accounting
Analyst will support the finance and accounting functions across multiple divisions, preparing, reviewing, and analyzing financial statements and management reports. Day-to-day responsibilities include recording and reconciling journal entries, assisting with month-end and year-end close processes, and maintaining accurate general ledger accounts. The role also involves analyzing variances and trends, supporting budgeting and forecasting,
and providing financial insights to leadership.
The Accounting
Analyst will collaborate with operations teams, respond to internal inquiries, help improve financial processes, and ensure compliance with applicable policies and standards.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Accounting and Finance knowledge, with a solid understanding of core principles and practices.
- Candidates should possess experience preparing and reviewing Financial Statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
- Candidates should possess the ability to record, reconcile, and analyze Journal Entries (Accounting) accurately and in a timely manner.
- Candidates should possess advanced Analytical Skills, including proficiency in identifying trends, variances, and data-driven insights.
- Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional designation or progression (e.g., CPA) is an asset.
- Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel; familiarity with ERP systems is beneficial.
- Robust attention to detail, organization, and time management, with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams on-site.
