About This Role
We are in search of a highly attentive, organized, and motivated individual to join our Accounting team.
This is a fully in-office position reporting to the Accounting Manager of the Accounting team. Though the work will be entirely in English, it is always considered an asset if candidates understand or can communicate in additional languages. This role may also be required to work occasional evenings and weekends as required to meet operational deadlines.
The ideal candidate has a love for numbers, values strong attention to detail, and contributes positively to the overall team culture.
Key Responsibilities
Billing & Wires:
- Process all outgoing trust wires, ensuring proper verification of all deposit and banking information, etc.
- Conduct daily and monthly bank reconciliations for all trust accounts.
- Maintain Trusted Savings Reconciliation
- Confirm and post deposits in all trust accounts
- Manage all pre-bills, complete pre-defined allocations, and create invoices.
- Upload bills via electronic systems for specific clients, ensuring prompt follow-up on billing inquiries.
- Post and prepare POL-E-Submissions
- Reconcile FCT/Stewart Title/Chicago Title invoices for payment
Cheques & Deposits:
- Prepare approved general and trust cheques, including printing cheques, obtaining approval, and delivering cheques to appropriate parties.
- Complete general and trust bank deposits and e-transfers as needed.
- Post directs to RBC and BNS.
- Order cheques and law stamps as needed.
General Financial Support:
- Assist with all month-end and year-end accounting functions as required, including gathering and providing required information.
- Provide backup coverage for other accounting functions as directed by the Accounting Manager.
Culture & Engagement:

- Contribute to the cultivation of a positive setting and promote respectful communication with internal and external stakeholders.
What You Bring
- Experience: Diploma or Degree in Business with a focus in Accounting. 3-5 years’ experience in an Accounting role or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
- Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, time management, and communication skills.
- Mindset: Critical thinker, problem solver, self-motivated, and a team player with a positive attitude excited to contribute to a collaborative culture.
- Tech Proficiency:
Adept at using technology such as Outlook and Microsoft Office, with a talent for learning new software quickly.
