As an Accounting Lead, you have in-depth knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, proficiency in accounting systems, and strong motivation to drive processes that contribute to the achievement of an efficient monthly/quarterly/annual close and financial reporting processes. Lead targeted cross-functional initiatives in the area of Core Business to remediate existing control deficiencies and/or implement operational efficiencies into the month-end close process. Develop a project plan, and clearly communicate project goals, updates, resource needs, and business outcomes. Act as the point of contact between the Operational close teams and partners in Product, Engineering, Financial Platforms, Financial Systems, and Technical Accounting to incorporate new products and/or processes into the GL.

Proactively review current procedures and seek ways to improve processes to ensure timely monthly close, accuracy of accounting entries, and operational efficiency. Develop deep expertise in existing accounting processes and recommend a path forward that balances scalability, level of effort, time to deliver, financial risk, and cost. To the extent needed, responsible for preparing and/or reviewing workpapers, journal entries, and reconciliations for key accounts in the Core Business area of Card Accounting. 4+ years of relevant qualified experience is required (public accounting experience preferred). ~ Solid understanding of US GAAP, and ability to partner with the Technical Accounting team on accounting policy implementation and adherence.



~ Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required (such as VLOOKUPS & conditional statements, pivot tables, data analysis, what-if-analysis). ~ SQL experience or strong interest in developing SQL skills preferred. ~ Excellent project management skills and ability to foster cross-functional collaboration to drive meaningful improvements to the close process. ~ Equity Grade - 4 Base pay is part of a total compensation package that may include monthly stipends for health, wellness, and tech spending, and benefits (including 100% subsidized medical coverage, dental and vision for you and your dependents).
