Functional Area: Hybrid Location: Montreal, Quebec, CA, H3C 2M1 Job Summary Syntax is seeking an AMS Resourcing Senior Specialist to lead complex and strategic staffing activities across AMS accounts while ensuring effective day-to-day coordination of resourcing requests. This role is responsible for optimizing consultant allocation, resolving escalations, supporting workforce planning, and improving staffing processes across teams and regions. The ideal candidate will bring strong judgment, stakeholder management skills, and a solid understanding of SAP skill mapping and consultant profiles to help ensure the right resources are aligned to the right opportunities at the right time.
Key Responsibilities - Manage high-priority, complex, or difficult staffing requests across AMS accounts.
- Act as a senior point of contact for urgent demand, staffing constraints, and escalation handling.
- Support global resourcing reviews across teams and regions.
- Advise on resource strategy, including backup coverage, cross-staffing options, and consultant allocation.
- Support workforce planning and bench optimization efforts across the organization.
- Receive, track, and manage staffing requests through to resolution.
- Maintain visibility of consultant availability, capacity, and matching requirements.
- Support data gathering and analysis for effective resource matching.
- Coordinate with delivery leads and SDMs on staffing follow-ups and fulfillment updates.
- Update internal trackers, dashboards, and reporting tools accurately and consistently.
- Support communications related to staffing progress, assignment decisions, and request status.
- Help improve staffing processes, coordination practices, and operational consistency across teams.
Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in staffing, workforce management, resource management, or human resources, preferably within an SAP consulting environment.
- Strong understanding of SAP skill mapping, consultant profiles, and staffing practices in a services or consulting setting.
- Excellent decision-making skills in complex staffing scenarios.
- Strong stakeholder management and escalation-handling capabilities.
- Ability to work effectively across regions, teams, and functions.
- Strong coordination, organizational, and follow-through skills.
- High attention to detail and a strong sense of accountability.
- Ability to manage staffing data, reporting, and follow-up actions effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to guide discussions and influence decisions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience using staffing management software, analytic platforms, and HRIS tools such as Workday or SAP SuccessFactors.
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on data-driven decision-making and performance improvement.
Preferred Qualifications - Experience supporting AMS accounts or large-scale consulting operations.
- Familiarity with global resourcing models, bench management, and workforce planning.
- Exposure to SAP consulting delivery environments and resource deployment practices.
- Experience improving staffing workflows, reporting processes, or operational governance.
- Ability to balance strategic staffing decisions with day-to-day execution needs.
- An appreciation for innovation, continuous improvement, and modern delivery approaches, including automation and AI-enabled services.
Education & Certifications - Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline preferred.
