Petroglyph Animal Hospital in Nanaimo is seeking an enthusiastic full time Animal Health Care Assistant-Receptionist to join our thriving clinic. Preference will be given to those with previous experience, however, training will be provided for the right candidate. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be a team player with attention to detail, and must be able to handle the physical and emotional demands of the job.

Main Duties include but not limited to:

Restraining and handling pets

Prepping and cleaning surgical equipment and supplies

Assisting technician and doctors

Answering phones and reception duties

Cleaning

Skills/Abilities:

Be able to think ahead

Work well under pressure

Well organized

Able to take direction

Able to lift heavy objects

This is a full time position that will include 32-40 hours per week

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
