We are currently seeking motivated Third and Fourth Year Apprentice Millwrights for an Engine Fitter role to join a growing marine and shipbuilding team. This is an excellent opportunity to build experience in Canada’s shipbuilding industry while gaining hands-on experience alongside skilled trades professionals.
Responsibilities
- Assist with installation, maintenance, and alignment of marine engines and mechanical systems
- Read and interpret drawings, schematics, and technical documents
- Use hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Support vessel construction and repair activities
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Work collaboratively with supervisors and tradespeople on site
Requirements
- Registered Third or Fourth year apprentice millwright
- Fall Protection and Confined Space Certifications
- WHMIS 2015 Certifications
- Experience with mechanical work, industrial labour, automotive, heavy equipment, or construction considered an asset
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
- Strong attention to safety and willingness to learn
- Reliable transportation and punctuality required
