We are currently recruiting 3rd & 4th year Apprentice welders for an exciting client of ours located in Halifax NS. Reporting to the Installation Manager, the Apprentice Welders will work in collaboration with the installation team.

**Referral Bonus Offered- We are pleased to offer a referral bonus of $200 for each individual referred to Matrix HR who is successfully hired for this project. To be eligible for the referral payment, the referred candidate must complete a minimum of one week of work on our payroll.

Responsibilities:

- Read and interpret blueprints to determine welding requirements
- Set up welding equipment and select appropriate welding techniques
- Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions
- Operate power tools and hand tools to prepare materials for weldin
- Maintain a clean and organized work area




- Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate protective equipment

Working Conditions:

- Able to work efficiently in fast-paced environments
- Physically capable of performing tasks that require frequent bending, crouching, and kneeling
- Strong attention to detail with excellent hand-eye coordination
- Comfortable working in confined or restricted spaces

Certifications:

- Confined Space
- Fall Protection
- WHMIS

Qualifications:

- 2nd or 3rd year completed pre-apprenticeship course
- Good work quality and ability to work steadily to meet project timeline
- Good physical dexterity to work in tight or awkward locations
- Proficient in using power tools and hand tools
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of welding techniques
- Experience with plasma cutting, rigging, and blueprint reading is preferred
- Familiarity with operating cranes and forklifts is a plus
- Ability to assemble and disassemble metal parts for machining purposes

All successful applicants must meet the requirements for Canadian Government Security clearance.
