Role Description This is a full-time, on-site AR/AP role based in Georgetown, ON. The team member will manage day-to-day accounts receivable and accounts payable activities, including processing invoices, posting payments, and reconciling vendor and customer accounts.
Responsibilities include monitoring outstanding balances, preparing aging reports, following up on overdue accounts, and ensuring timely payment of suppliers. The role will support month-end and year-end closing activities, assist with financial documentation, and collaborate with internal teams to resolve billing or payment discrepancies.
The AR/AP specialist will also maintain accurate records, adhere to company policies and accounting standards, and contribute to continuous process improvements.
Qualifications
- Strong accounts receivable and accounts payable skills, including invoice processing, payment posting, and account reconciliation.
- Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems, along with solid Microsoft Excel and general computer skills.
- Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
- Effective communication skills for working with internal teams, customers, and vendors to resolve billing and payment issues.
- Understanding of basic accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Prior experience in transportation, logistics, or multi-division business environments is an asset.
- Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Demonstrated reliability, professional integrity, and willingness to learn and adapt to evolving processes.
