The Completions Assistant District Manager supports the District Manager in the day-to-day execution of Completions operations within the district. The position serves as a key operational and field leadership resource, helping ensure crews, equipment, and field activities are properly coordinated and executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with Tier 1 Energy Solutions standards.
Working closely with the District Manager, the Assistant District Manager provides hands-on support to field personnel, assists with operational planning and scheduling, helps address field and customer issues, and supports the effective utilization of equipment and personnel.
The position is expected to provide leadership and direction to field crews as required, assist with troubleshooting and operational decision-making, and help maintain consistent service quality and adherence to company, client, and QHSE requirements.
The Assistant District Manager also supports customer relationships and business development activities within the district, while escalating significant operational, personnel, or commercial matters to the District Manager.
The position works closely with the District Manager and as required, with Sales, VP Completions, HR, QHSE, Logistics and Procurement, and District Administration.
This position is based in Leduc, Alberta, Canada .
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Understand and adhere to all Tier 1 Completion Solutions (Tier 1) policies and procedures, furthermore, understand and adhere to any client’s policies and procedures;
- Support the District Manager in the overall management of Completions operations, including personnel, equipment, scheduling, field execution,
and customer requirements.
- Provide leadership, coaching, technical guidance, and direction to district personnel, including support for recruitment, training, performance management, and employee development.
- Support business development, maintain strong customer relationships, and assist with district sales, operational, and financial planning.
- Monitor operational and financial performance and identify opportunities to improve safety, efficiency, utilization, profitability, and service quality.
- Ensure operations comply with Tier 1 policies and procedures, client requirements, QHSE standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with internal departments and assist in resolving operational, equipment, service-quality, and customer issues.
- Conduct regular field visits and perform field installations and other field duties as required to support operations, including during manpower shortages or periods of increased activity.
- Represent the district at customer and internal meetings as required and assume District Manager responsibilities when delegated or during periods of absence.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
- Travel is required, including regular travel to field locations
- Ability to work more than 40 hours per week and outside regular business hours as operational requirements dictateAbility to attend and conduct meetings and presentations
- Manual dexterity required to use computers, field equipment, and related tools
- Ability to lift or move up to 75 lbs. as required
Education, Certificates, Licenses and Registrations:
- Related field experience in the oil and gas service industry is required
- Valid Class 5 driver's license
Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of the completions industry
- Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience
- Results from pre-employment testing must be deemed acceptable in accordance with Tier 1 policies
- 5-year driver's abstract must comply with Tier 1 guidelines
- This position requires driving a company vehicle and/or a personal vehicle for company purposes and requires an acceptable driver's abstract
- Results from a background check must be deemed acceptable in accordance with Tier 1 guidelines
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
