We are recruiting for an Assistant Manager to join our Klemtu Saltwater team. This fly-in position is based in Klemtu, BC, with company-provided flights to and from Campbell River. Reporting to the Site Manager, this role is a vital part of our farming process to grow our salmon in a sustainable and efficient way. The Assistant Manager is responsible for assisting with site operations to ensure a safe and positive work environment.

Qualifications:

- Grade 12 diploma and 3 to 5 years of experience in salmon aquaculture, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- A post-secondary aquaculture certificate or diploma is preferred
- Ability to work safely and effectively in challenging environmental conditions
- Strong background in feed and environmental risk management
- Demonstrated skills and experience in providing leadership to a team of staff and supporting all aspects of personnel management
- Good critical thinking, decision-making skills, and sound judgment
- Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet production deadlines
- Strong interpersonal skills (e.g., approachable, empathetic), including the ability to develop effective relationships and successfully resolve conflict situations




- Proficient computer skills (e.g., Aqua Farmer, word processing, and spreadsheets)
- Highly motivated, with a positive outlook and attitude towards work
