PEACE Psychotherapy
Toronto
Join a DBT-focused practice where you'll be mentored, not just onboarded.
Position: Associate Therapist to work with Youth, Adults, Families and DBT Groups
PEACE Psychotherapy is a growing private practice of independent psychotherapists committed to providing flexible, effective therapy to adults, adolescents, and families using Dialectical Behaviour Therapy. We're looking for psychotherapists to join our practice on a part-time basis, with the opportunity to grow their caseload — and their DBT skills — over time, with the possibility of building up to a full-time caseload.
As a psychotherapist with PEACE, you would gain access to clinical supervision, training and support, and participation on a weekly DBT consultation team. We provide our associates with client referrals, a personalized email account, online practice software, web-based homework activities and resources, administrative and tech assistance, a profile on our website, and access to our office building in a central downtown location, with Individual, Family and Group Therapy rooms.
Please see PEACEPsychotherapy.ca for more details about this practice.
Interested candidates should have
- Membership with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO)
or the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW), including qualifying RPs
- Experience and/or interest in co-facilitating DBT Skills Treatment Groups online and/or in-person (you would co-run such groups with one of our experienced group facilitators)
- Experience working with youth and families, ideally at least 3-5 years
- Knowledge of DBT (for example, certification, experience, etc.) and a philosophy in line with that outlined on the PEACE website
- A robust interest in learning how to provide one of the most effective therapies for people struggling with problems related to emotional dysregulation
- Experience in private practice and/or with an agency
Successful candidates will also have the opportunity to increase their hourly rate significantly as their ability to retain clients grows.*
Job Type: Part-time, ongoing
Salary: $80.00 to $100/hour, with the potential for significant increase after the probationary period
- *Recent research found that 56% of Canadians who access mental health support leave care earlier than planned or needed — most often because they aren't seeing real progress. Client retention is a genuine clinical skill, not just a business outcome.
