Responsibilities
- Assess vehicle damage and develop repair plans to restore vehicles to factory specifications
- Perform body repairs including dent removal, panel replacement, and frame straightening using specialized tools and techniques
- Use hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting equipment safely and effectively to complete repairs
- Conduct mechanical inspections and perform minor mechanical repairs as needed to support body work
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace adhering to safety standards at all times
- Collaborate with team members and communicate clearly with customers regarding repair progress and timelines
- Complete detailed documentation of repairs performed, parts used, and time spent on each vehicle
Experience
- Previous dealership or automotive repair shop experience is highly preferred
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform basic mechanical repairs and inspections
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting equipment safely
- Experience working with automotive body repair techniques such as dent removal, panel replacement, and frame straightening
- Mechanic experience is a plus, demonstrating a well-rounded understanding of vehicle systems
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and work efficiently in a team environment
