Title: AWS Cloud Specialist / AWS Cloud Engineer
Location: Toronto, ON / Canada (Hybrid/Remote)
Duration: 4 Months
Introduction We are looking for an experienced professional to support cloud-native development, integration, and infrastructure requirements within a large-scale AWS and Contact Centre Transformation program. The successful candidate will design, build, deploy, and support secure and scalable AWS solutions while working closely with Amazon Connect engineers, Solution Architects, developers, and enterprise integration teams.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 5 years of AWS/cloud engineering experience.
- Strong hands-on experience designing and implementing AWS solutions.
- Experience with cloud-native and serverless architectures.
- Strong understanding of AWS security, networking, scalability, and integration patterns.
- Experience supporting enterprise production environments.
- Experience working within Agile/DevOps teams.
- Prior work experience in the client's industry.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Amazon Connect experience.
- Amazon Lex experience.
- AWS Bedrock / Generative AI / Agentic AI exposure.
- Contact Centre transformation experience.
- Financial services/banking experience.
- Kubernetes/EKS experience.
- AWS Solutions Architect, Developer, or DevOps certifications.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Design, build,
and support scalable AWS cloud infrastructure and services.
- Develop cloud-native/serverless solutions using AWS Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, EventBridge, SNS/SQS.
- Support Amazon Connect infrastructure and integrations with enterprise applications.
- Develop and maintain REST API and event-driven integrations.
- Implement IAM roles, policies, authentication, encryption, and security controls.
- Build infrastructure using Terraform and/or CloudFormation.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
- Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and operational dashboards using CloudWatch.
- Troubleshoot AWS infrastructure, application integration, performance, and production issues.
- Support cloud migration and modernization initiatives.
- Implement high-availability, scalability, disaster recovery, and resiliency patterns.
- Work with security and architecture teams to ensure compliance with AWS and enterprise standards.
- Support deployment, testing, production readiness, and knowledge transfer.
