Responsibilities - Provide responsive, bilingual (French/English) support to Team Members on all aspects of benefits and retirement savings programs, proactively identifying needs, clarifying complex scenarios, and guiding individuals to informed decisions - Partner closely with external vendors to ensure high-quality service delivery, anticipating potential issues, addressing gaps, and maintaining alignment with service level agreements (SLAs) - Draft, translate, and publish clear, engaging, and accurate benefits communications in French and English, tailoring messaging to diverse audiences and promoting understanding and action - Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver seasonal campaigns (e.g., Annual Enrolment), strategic initiatives, and program launches, contributing insights and ensuring seamless execution - Curate, enhance, and maintain SharePoint content to improve accessibility, usability, and relevance of benefits resources for Team Members - Support mergers and acquisitions by conducting detailed benefits and retirement savings analyses, identifying risks and opportunities, and contributing to integration planning - Manage and prioritize incoming inquiries through ServiceNow, applying sound judgment to triage, resolve,
and elevate issues while maintaining service standards and responsiveness - Facilitate end-to-end leave of absence case management, including consultation preparation, delivery, and follow-up, ensuring a consistent, thoughtful, and supportive experience for Team Members - Support Annual Enrolment through the development and validation of financial models in Excel, and by leading thorough user acceptance testing (UAT) for system and plan changes - Communicate effectively and confidently in both verbal and written formats, providing clear, accurate, and timely guidance on benefits and retirement savings as a trusted resource - Produce and analyze time-sensitive monthly reports, leveraging Excel (e.g., formulas, pivot tables, data validation) to identify trends, reconcile discrepancies, and support decision-making - Process employee data updates in the Human Capital Management System (HCMS) with accuracy and consistency, ensuring adherence to established processes and controls - Prepare and validate monthly invoicing, allocate benefits and retirement costs accurately, and coordinate funding and remittance activities with Finance - Track and reconcile premium payments for Team Members on leave of absence, ensuring timely follow-up and coordination of payroll deductions - Conduct audits to verify eligibility, ensure data integrity, and identify areas for improvement or risk mitigation - Maintain ongoing communication with vendors, monitoring performance and service outcomes while addressing issues and driving resolution as needed - Identify opportunities to enhance processes, tools, and documentation, contributing practical recommendations and supporting implementation of improvements - Participate in continuous learning and knowledge sharing to strengthen expertise in benefits, retirement savings,
and broader HR practices - Monitor and interpret changes in federal and provincial legislation, assessing impacts and supporting updates to programs and processes - Build a strong understanding of MNP’s business and services to deliver informed, relevant, and value-added support - Work collaboratively within the Human Capital team, sharing knowledge, supporting peers, and contributing to a cohesive and high-performing team environment Skills and Experience - Written and verbal English and French language skills required - At least four years of progressive experience in group benefits, including demonstrated absence and leave case management - Completion of Group Benefits Associate (GBA) 1 or 2 considered an asset - Strong analytical capabilities, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and support decision-making - Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., financial modeling, pivot tables, data analysis); strong working knowledge of Word and PowerPoint - Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, exercise sound judgment, and deliver high-quality work with accuracy and attention to detail - Effective communicator with the ability to influence, collaborate, and build strong working relationships across teams and with external partners MyRewards@MNP With a focus on high-potential earnings , MNP is proud to offer customized rewards that support our unique culture and a balanced lifestyle to thrive at work and outside of the office.
