POSITION OVERVIEW

BDC is the only bank dedicated exclusively to Canadian entrepreneurs. We support the growth of small and medium-sized businesses across Canada.

As an Analyst, Document and Data Management, you will support the accuracy and maintenance of client records and operational data. This role is focused on document management, data validation, administrative processing,



and adherence to established procedures. Your work contributes directly to the quality and reliability of information used to support lending operations and the success of Canadian businesses. At BDC, you can be yourself at work.

CHALLENGES TO BE MET

- Review, classify, and index documents submitted by employees before uploading them to Electronic Client Files (ECF), following established procedures and quality standards.
- Process document re-indexation requests within ECF.
- Verify financial information and validate data entered into BDC systems for accuracy and completeness.
- Monitor outstanding documentation and follow up to ensure client files remain current.
- Prepare and distribute standard client correspondence related to loan administration requirements.
- Complete routine service requests and annual review activities for client files with loan amounts of $350,000 or less.
- Process assigned requests accurately and within established service-level standards.
- Collaborate with Business Centre employees and internal partners to ensure consistent application of procedures and policies.
- Maintain knowledge of relevant procedures, policies, system updates, and operational requirements.




- Contribute to the accuracy and integrity of client information across BDC systems.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
- 1 to 2 years of experience in the financial services or banking sector.
- Knowledge of banking products, services, policies, and procedures, particularly commercial lending and credit risk management.
- Experience reviewing financial statements and validating financial data.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a high-volume work workplace.
- Ability to work independently with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and data management skills.
- Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities, procedures, and business requirements.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft PowerPoint).
