Canada
ACTA is Canada’s national trade association representing travel agencies and travel advisors. Our priorities include advocacy, education, promoting the value of booking with a skilled travel advisor, and attracting new professionals to Canada’s travel industry.
We are seeking a highly organized, service-oriented Bilingual Membership Coordinator to support ACTA’s members, membership programs and advisory committees.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to member inquiries in English and French, providing assistance or directing inquiries to the appropriate team member.
- Support membership acquisition and renewal campaigns, including processing payments, preparing renewal materials and membership cards, generating database lists, and completing database entries.
- Maintain ACTA’s membership database and ensure information is accurate, complete and current.
- Respond to French-language consumer complaints concerning ACTA members in accordance with ACTA’s established process.
- Support the Membership Manager, Québec, with related advocacy activities.
- Assist with member networking and educational events.
- Administer the Air Canada AD75 program.
- Record and distribute meeting notes for Independent Travel Advisor and Regional Advisory Committee meetings, as well as other membership meetings.
- Coordinate program additions and deletions with Venngo.
- Prepare monthly membership reports for retail agency,
Independent Travel Advisor, Certified Travel Counsellor, Certified Travel Manager and allied member categories.
- Order supplies requested by members of the membership team and forward invoices to accounting.
Administration and Research Support
- Provide administrative support to ACTA’s Regional Advisory Committees under the direction of the membership manager(s).
- Assist with research, data collection and reporting as required.
- Support other team members during periods of increased workload and contribute to shared organizational priorities. Skills and Competencies
- Fluency in both French and English, written and spoken.
- Excellent customer-service and relationship-building skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and Outlook.
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote home-office environment.
- Experience in the travel or tourism industry is considered an asset. Qualifications
- A college diploma or university degree, or a minimum of two years of relevant work experience. Location and Reporting
This is a remote position open to candidates residing in Canada. The Bilingual Membership Coordinator reports to the Senior Membership Manager.
