The Jim Pattison Auto Group is seeking an energetic, reliable, and detail-oriented Body Shop Detailer to join our Jim Pattison Collision & Glass centre.
As a key member of our Body Shop team, you’ll be responsible for ensuring customer vehicles are thoroughly cleaned, detailed, and professionally presented following collision repairs and refinishing. Your work will be an important final step in the repair process, helping ensure every vehicle leaves our facility looking its best and ready for customer delivery.

Schedule: Full-time, permanent position, 40 hours per week. Regular schedule is Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with a one-hour unpaid lunch break.
Pay: $17.50 - $18.50 per hour.

- Thoroughly clean and detail customer vehicles following body repairs, refinishing, and collision restoration, including exterior washing, interior cleaning, vacuuming, and final presentation preparation.
- Complete final vehicle inspections to ensure vehicles meet our standards for cleanliness, appearance, and presentation before customer delivery.
- Safely move, position,
and stage customer vehicles throughout the body shop, lot, and delivery areas.
- Identify and promptly report any damage, concerns, or discrepancies observed during the detailing and inspection process.
- Safely use detailing tools, equipment, and cleaning products in accordance with manufacturer instructions and workplace safety procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient detailing area and contribute to the overall cleanliness of the body shop.
- Take care when handling customer vehicles, keys, equipment, and company property.
- Follow established procedures for vehicle handling, detailing, and final quality checks.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when dealing with customer information and vehicles.
- Work collaboratively with technicians, estimators, managers, and other team members to support an efficient repair and delivery process.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
What We’re Looking For
- Valid Manitoba Driver’s Licence required, along with a satisfactory Driver’s Abstract.
- Previous experience in automotive detailing, collision repair, automotive dealerships, or a similar workplace is considered a strong asset.
- Experience operating both automatic and manual transmission vehicles is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in delivering a high-quality finished product.
- Ability to follow instructions, work independently, and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable with a strong work ethic.
- Professional and respectful approach when handling customer vehicles and company property.
- Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.
- Commitment to workplace safety and proper handling of detailing products, tools, and equipment.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions This is a physically active role performed in a busy body shop environment. The successful candidate must be comfortable with:
- Frequent walking throughout the body shop, vehicle storage areas, and lot.
- Standing, walking, bending, crouching, kneeling, reaching, and working in various positions for extended periods.
- Regularly moving and operating customer vehicles, including automatic and manual transmissions.
- Using cleaning products, detailing tools, and equipment on a regular basis.
- Performing interior and exterior vehicle cleaning, including lifting, reaching, bending, and working in confined or awkward positions.
- Working both indoors and outdoors in changing weather conditions, including sun, rain, wind, snow, cold, and heat. Weather conditions will be monitored and appropriate safety precautions will be taken as required.
