Reporting to the BAS Technical Lead, the BAS Technician will assist in designing Building Automation Systems that meet project specifications.
Responsibilities include preparing shop drawings, developing and testing control programs, and implementing web-based user interface graphics. The BAS Technician will collaborate with the Technical Lead to ensure each control system functions as intended and that all work meets our high quality standards. The role will also include providing service and technical support to existing customers, including troubleshooting, system maintenance, programming adjustments, and responding to customer service needs as required.
Work Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts (7:00 am – 3:30 pm) (Can vary from site to site)
- Overtime, out-of-town, and weekend work may be required
Responsibilities:
- Controller Addressing and programming
- BACnet network integration
- Commissioning
- Graphic point plotting
- Customer Support and Training
- Control Systems Documentation
- Troubleshooting controllers and I/O devices
Qualifications:
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team setting
- Valid driver’s license with a clean drivers abstract (required)
- C.E.T. or C.Tech designation in an HVAC or Controls related field is considered an asset
- Journeyperson certificate in relevant HVAC, Electrical or Instrumentation field is considered an asset
- Experience with Building Automation Systems or PLC’s is considered an asset
