Job Title: Business Analyst - Information and data management

Location: Remote client based in Ottawa, ON

Duration: 12 months

Pay Range: C$75 to C$85

Introduction

The consultant will be responsible for ensuring alignment with organizational policies, regulatory obligations, and operational needs in information and data management. This role involves collaboration with development teams and stakeholders to implement effective information management solutions.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Canadian Federal Government Security Clearance – Reliability Status and above

- Bachelor's degree in library and information studies, Information Management, Records Management, Archival Studies, or a related discipline
- A minimum of five (5) years of recent demonstrated work experience in information and records management, with a focus on electronic records management
- A minimum of three (3) years of recent demonstrated work experience developing data maps, data dictionaries, metadata crosswalks, and semantic models
- A minimum of three (3)



years of recent demonstrated experience conducting business analysis activities and collaborating with development teams

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

- Banking & Financial industry experience

- CBAP, MS Dynamics experience

- AI expertise in medium to large enterprise environments

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

- Assess and document records retention, disposition, and information management requirements

- Analyze business processes and develop business requirements for records lifecycle management

- Collaborate with development teams to implement, validate, and test lifecycle management controls

- Perform data mapping, data analysis, and data integration activities

- Deliver knowledge transfer, training, and operational handover activities
