Reporting directly to the Transportation Manager, the Transportation Team Lead is responsible for all aspects of the trucking operations; drivers and equipment, maintaining oversight of routing, scheduling and dispatch to customers. Adherence to applicable provincial and federal regulatory standards is strictly enforced.

Here’s where you’ll have an impact: Determines the staff levels and scheduling reacting to any situation affecting planning Monitors and reports the daily productivity information and on time service. Explains any variances on productivity Schedules equipment maintenance within Provincial Legislated requirements and ensure the safe operation of all Transport vehicles Manages absenteeism and employees tardiness Recruits, trains, develops, motivates and coaches truck drivers, and provides regular feedback, including investigating and administering corrective actions as required Communicates any relevant information to the employees Demonstrates outstanding leadership,

Physical work including frequent bending, lifting, and reaching Occasionally lift over 88 lbs Two person lift required for weights exceeding 50 lbs Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time Exposure to elements (i.e. dust/dirt, chemicals, noise, etc.) with a moderate exposure to varying temperatures (i.e. freezer -25C, coolers 1 - 5C, etc.) about 25% of the time
