This role exists to capture and tell MistyWest's story, and to turn our partner network into a reliable source of leads and qualified opportunities. The core skill is drawing the value proposition out of our engineers and the real pain points out of our customers, then packaging that into content, conversations, and partner relationships that grow the top of our funnel. Most of the effort will be partnership and community-building work.

Stay genuinely immersed in HardTech, AI, and IoT, and in our markets of Mining, Logistics, Smart Infrastructure and HealthTech. Read the books, news, and podcasts, follow the thought leaders, and bring that context into everything you produce. Be able to speak intelligently about the technology.

Interview our engineers and customers, ask sharp questions, and translate complex technical work into clear, compelling stories. Get information out of our billable tech team and into the market. # Coordinate and plan events with partners, and run quarterly partner funnel reviews where we compare our pipeline against our partners' to surface useful leads and opportunities. (Support event sponsorship efforts, growing into full ownership over time. # Keep the content and community engine running. Produce the monthly email, blog posts, and event theses, write the copy for our marketing automation (Mailchimp, Apollo), and grow our communities of customers, partners, and prospective hires.

Measure: market qualified leads, inbounds, and the opportunities that are generated from our one-to-many marketing efforts. You will be accountable for measuring your own performance and reporting on it frequently. # Innovate: AI is rapidly changing the world of marketing. Leverage AI to help enrich our CRM data, and guide our team members to follow best AI and data-enrichment practices so that our marketing efforts are more impactful. 2 to 6 years in marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field.

We're open to backgrounds: an MBA grad, a journalist, or a marketer can all be right, provided the instincts are there. ~ Excellent interviewer and questioner, able to pull insight from technical experts and customers alike. ~ Technical content-writing experience is a plus. ~ Solid project coordination and organizational skills. ~ Solid community building skills ~ Willing to travel across North America.
