La Passerelle - Intégration et développement économique is seeking a Specialized Chef - African Cuisine to join its team in Toronto.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking specialized African cuisine dishes, planning menus, and maintaining high standards of quality, hygiene, and food safety.

Responsibilities

- Prepare and cook African dishes and specialties;
- Plan and develop menus;
- Ensure the quality, presentation, and consistency of prepared dishes;
- Supervise food preparation and kitchen activities;
- Assess food and supply requirements;
- Participate in inventory management and kitchen organization;
- Ensure compliance with hygiene, sanitation, health and food safety standards;
- Train and support staff involved in food preparation, as required;
- Maintain a clean, safe and organized work environment.

Requirements

- Relevant experience in skilled cooking;




- Experience and knowledge of African cuisine;
- Ability to prepare specialized dishes and maintain consistent quality;
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work as part of a team;
- Ability to comply with health, safety, sanitation and food safety standards.

Employment Conditions

- Permanent, full-time position;
- 37.5 hours per week;
- Wage: CAD $39.23 per hour;
- Work location: Toronto, Ontario;
- On-site position;
- Required working language: French;
- Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends, as required.
