We have an opportunity for a Chief Application Analyst to transform business needs into concrete and sustainable solutions. You will be the link between the business and technology teams, from the analysis of the need to the adoption of the solution. We are looking for this talent to support the evolution of our analytical assets.
At the intersection of business needs, data and technology, you will take charge of end-to-end files and contribute concretely to the design, validation and adoption of solutions.
This role requires a strong culture, comfort in cloud environments and a demonstrated ability to take charge of end-to-end files, from the analysis of the need to the validation of the solution, in an Agile context.
You will evolve in a modern technological environment where your autonomy, versatility and ability to experiment will have a direct impact on the quality and speed of delivery.
Your job
- Analyze the technological requirements of initiatives affecting the platform and evaluate their impact, effort and dependencies to support prioritization
- Document processes, solutions and decisions (Confluence)
- Formalize acceptance criteria and test cases
- Contribute to the configuration, testing and technical support of platform components
- Get hands-on by performing, as needed, SQL queries, lightweight scripts, prototypes or proofs of concept to validate a hypothesis or accelerate delivery
- Collaborate directly with developers, architects, product managers and users to move files forward with minimal dependencies
- Evaluate the operational and organizational impacts of changes made to the platform and contribute to the development of adoption strategies
- Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and the technical team; lead Agile ceremonies and promote knowledge sharing.
Your team Within the Big Data and Analytics sector, reporting to the Vice-President Corporate Sectors, Data and Operational Risks, there are several specialists who work in an agile, proactive and collaborative manner to seize opportunities, stay on the cutting edge of technologies and continuously improve processes. This position reports to the Director, Analytical Assets. You are part of a team that contributes to the evolution and enhancement of the organization's analytical assets.
You collaborate with program managers, technology teams, data specialists and business partners to accelerate the delivery of strategic priorities. Prerequisites
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, business administration, or related field
- Minimum 4 years of experience in a Senior Analyst role (business, functional, data or IT). Significant experience in projects related to data, analytics or cloud platforms
- Experience in analysis of functional, non-functional, business and technical requirements; structured writing (Jira, specifications, acceptance criteria)
- Experience in modeling, governance, quality, basic SQL; familiarity with modern platform architectures (data lake, warehouse)
- Experience in AWS, Azure or GCP environment; understanding of fundamental concepts (IAM, managed services, security)
- Ability to query data with SQL, read and understand code and produce straightforward scripts or prototypes as needed.
Assets
- Knowledge of Snowflake (SQL, RBAC, multi-account architecture, Data Sharing)
- Experience with visualization and analytics tools (Power BI, Tableau, Snowflake Intelligence)
- Familiarity with Terraform or other infrastructure as code tools
- Knowledge of dbt or data transformation tools
- Experience in a regulated industry (banking, insurance, government)
- Knowledge of Collibra or other data cataloguing tools
- Any certification in data analytics, product management, or Agile (CBAP, PMI-PBA, PSM, SAFe).
Languages: French, English Reason to require this language: you will need to discuss frequently with our service providers or partners who speak a language other than French.
