Lead M’Chigeeng First Nation's initiative in developing a culturally grounded Child Well-Being Law. Engage the community and drive essential research during Year 1 of this vital project. This full time position coordinates planning, research, and community engagement related to child welfare within the M’Chigeeng First Nation. The Coordinator oversees project staff to implement deliverables connecting culture and well-being with Anishinaabe values.

Responsibilities include engagement sessions, developing frameworks, and ensuring organizational alignment with child welfare legislation. Key Responsibilities:

- Coordinate and oversee project staff daily
- Implement the Community Engagement Plan
- Conduct jurisdictional research on child welfare laws




- Support development of foundational governance structures
- Prepare progress reports for stakeholders Requirements:
- Bachelor’s in social work, governance or related field
- 3-5 years in project coordination, especially in Indigenous contexts
- Experience in child welfare policy development
- Proficient in project management tools
- Fluent in English; knowledge of Anishinaabemowin is an asset Utilize your project management expertise and cultural knowledge to shape child well-being and governance in M’Chigeeng First Nation.
